Have an old Royal Upright Piano, it cannot be tuned and repairs are way too much. I do not even play piano. As for antique value the bench is worth more. It is in good shape I am keeping the bench. Some of the trim boards are vaneered, the main parts of the case appear to be solid, stained pieces. I know the wires are under a lot of tension, it has 2 nice looking legs in the front. I thought about a sideboard, or an old Victorian Secretary. I am wondering how hard it will be to take apart? How much deconstruction I can do without detruction. Anyone know of any plans? Or any ideas may be helpful. The Piano came with the house, nothing but a catch-all so if it has become a sort of shelf I want to make it more properly used. -- Measure once cut twice....oh wait....ooops. |
