On Saturday March 16, I sent a message to my friend and fellow LJ’s Member Jim Jakosh about some of the Corian that he uses in some of his turnings, I asked for about 12, 1” squares and about 1/16 or 1/8 in thickness, he not only cut these for me he sent me the pile you see. I didn’t count them but I bet there is at least 35-40 pieces he sent me and they got here so fast, I just wanted to share this with the LJ’s Community. Jim is one heck of a craftsman and one heck of a friend too…

I hope to make some pretty rings and things with it! Keep a look out!!
Thank You once again, Jim!!! You are the best!!

Nice, I got the display squares from a vendor that worked for the Borg. Seven cases of the stuff, of course I have to cut my own but still Corian is not exactly cheap, but it does make some great projects lik pens, and fan pulls. Your next Corian project show be soon?????

If you stack them up and glue them in a block with CA you can maybe get 2 pen blanks with those sizes. Depends on how careful you are in cutting the blanks. Took me some time before I was comfortable cutting the blanks down to just over 1/2” and then drilling then hole without issues….(laughing) Okay so a few had to be modified… (laughing)

Thank you, SOOOOOOO MUCH JIM!
I really like them, I’ll get started some time soon. I have about 6-7 Bentwood rings that I need to put the finish on and I am working on a Bangle/Bracelet, so I’m just a little backed up.
I can’t wait to use some of it too….
Thanks again, MR JAKOSH!
