Topic tags/keywords: work bench top woodworking bench

I have a wood top I was going to make a woodworking workbench out of…but I lost interest in woodworking. It was a Parachuting Rigging table top used by the Air Force. It measures 36” W x 74”L x 1 3/4” thick.
It is heavy and well constructed. It is also held together by “thru bolts” seen in the pictures.
If you want to make a workbench, you cannot go wrong with this top!
Note…the thru bolt views are the bottom. The top is completely smooth
My price is firm.
You can view pics on my Craigslist posting.

Looks interesting…

Those “thru bolts”... Looks like one could remove the bolts, take part of the middle out, cut & thread the bolts, & put it back together… if one wanted to make it smaller than 36” deep??

What are those apparent metal things at each end?

How are you doing selling your tools, etc.?

I just can’t just jump in my truck and come over to get it from you… LOL

You might want to put the thickness and species in the CL ad.

Looks like rock maple. If I were closer, I would buy that right now! Over here in NJ/PA on the river, they bolt a pair of cast iron legs on that top, call it a dining room table, and ask $3500 for it!, No kidding.

Why is everything for sell on the north side of Dallas!? That’s a good buy, but I’d rather have a tooth pulled than drive through Dallas. You shouldn’t have any trouble selling this.

Joe…most of my stuff is gone. Only a few little things are left.
To Quanter50…I have been told it is Maple, but cannot confirm. I just know it is heavy and well constructed.
Signwave….the thickness is in the add…just not the species because I am not certain.
