I need the LJ communities help. I cant seem to find a place to purchase sanding belts for my newly aquired edge sander. The belt length is 6” x 72” (36” belt drum to drum). Everywhere I look they sell 6×48 or 6×89. Can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Jack Gaskins

Hi,

Try amazon.com

http://www.amazon.com/Grizzly-G4875-2-22-72-22-Sanding/dp/B0000DD2U1

I’ve done well shopping on Amazon when I can’t find something locally, which is quite often.

Have a great day.

http://www.industrialabrasives.com/ They will make sanding belts any length you want and the price is reasonable. I built my stroke sander then figured out what length belts I needed and ordered them . Perfect fit quality material.

http://www.industrialabrasives.com/ #1 place for abrasives. Lowest minimum for custom. Small family company and they only do abrasives. Better prices than Klingspor and others. As a Purchasing agent for 20 years I buy lots of things from many places but Industrial Abrasives is always the best.

Guess I will give them a call this week. I took the old belt of and cut it in half and it is actually 6×80 not 72 like the seller thought.

Thanks,
Jack
