I stumbled upon this ad on craigslist and I wanted to know how much I should offer for the cutters

for me locally it costs me $50/inch to get knives cut

If you have a Grizzly catalog, they have very similar cutters. You could compare.

Used custom knives are no where near the cost of new moulding knives. 15% of new is more than fair. So that equates to 3.00 per inch per knife. Trust me he wont be able to sell these for more than that. Im a professional knife grinder. Knives are only valuable when someone wants that exact pattern. If you want lots of knives, a client of mine is trying to sell about 5000 sets. hed be happy to get 10%.
