I turned my first Camphor bowl today. My sinuses have never been so clear. They make Vicks Mentolatum from camphor trees.
The wood is very easy to turn. The end grain is a bit rough when wet. It has a very nice grain too.

This bowl is one of Paul Hinds over at Hobbithouse. It’s what made my purchase a camphor blank.
I’ll post pictures of mine after it dries. It’s in the kiln now.

I really like how that bowl looks. I wish I had some camphor now.
