Been having some medical issues over the last few months, been through 3 surgeries thus far, great success. I have a heart bypass surgery coming up, a lot of anxiety. Anyone out there been there, done that? At what point did you have enough energy to get back in the shop. I’ve been running out of gas early in the day, not doing much of anything, really miss making saw dust.

Sorry to hear that Nicky. Never had a heart issue. My father has though. It has been about two years since he had a quad bypass, it took a few months before he was up and at it again. Now he is better then ever thjough! His bypass went well, I imagine you are concerned but it goes fast and you will be much better off for it!

Sorry to hear about your medical troubles. I understand your anxiety.

My brother had a 7 way by-pass last year. He is 40 years old. He made it through and now is doing fine. It took him a few months to get his strength back to some degree of normalcy. The one thing you will want to do is the exercises and diets they put you on. And take your medicine at regular intervals. This is very important. You will most likely feel your stamina increase greatly after the surgery. I wouldn’t sweat it to much.
My mother-in-law had by-pass surgery also a few years ago. She now travels and enjoys life much better.

Having the yearning to do things and enjoy life is important for anyone having surgery. Your concern is understandable.

Good Luck, John

Hey Nicky,

You seem to be anxious about the surgery, understandably. I can tell you that I have heard stories of people that had these blockages were tired all the time; afterward, they felt much better, more energized – due to, I’m sure, better blood flow.

I’m thankful that at least you have found the blockages, and can have it fixed, rather than having a massive, deadly heart attack. :)

Heck I will never have to worry about heart surgery. How cum ? Easy….I’m getting old(late 70’s) & the health care system here in Alberta, Canada will simply let me languish & die. The system doesn’t like seniors.
