Ok I just ordered a new Jet dust collector with the cartridge filter unit on top. What does everyone do with the clear plastic bags for the chips – do you throw it away every time it gets filled or do you just dump it out ? What about replacement bags for this type of dust collector – where is a good place to re-order – help an old man out with your wisdom. Thanks !

Reusing those bags is doable but incredibly messy. They are also expensive, about $3 each. I built a thein separator using a 30 gal metal trash can and put it inline ahead of the collector. I just empty the can from time to time. I’ve gone fron 3 to 4 bags a week on average to 1 bag every 2 to 3 months.
