Image source: screen cap from my phone a few minutes ago. I shouldn’t have to address the extremely questionable nature of said business or the fact that they have lifted ideas from our members. We can only do so much against Internet thieves and trolls, but if this site is taking ad money from these hucksters, well, that situation needs to be remedied. Bad enough that they do what they do. Giving them ad space (if knowingly) makes this site just as shady by association. If they’re on some syndication list and not paying this site directly, then that syndication needs reviewing. This is the best place on the web for honest woodworkers, so let’s keep it that way! -- Brian in Arlington, TX - Laziness is the foundation of efficiency. |

These ads are dynamically generated based on your web activity. What you see when you visit LJ may be completely different from what anybody else may see. -- Chris, “as soon as you come up with something foolproof, they come up with a better fool"" |

Even though ads are generated that way there has go to be some way of blocking these I would hope. CtL -- Chris L. "Don't Dream it, Be it." |

Can we start a “Let’s Kill Ted” campaign? -- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it. - It's not ability that we often lack, but the patience to use our ability |

Randomly generated or not, there’s gotta be some kind of standards. “Ted’s Woodworking” is a legit advertiser like North Korea is a beacon of economic prosperity, free speech, and human rights. -- Brian in Arlington, TX - Laziness is the foundation of efficiency. |

Well I have adblock installed on chrome for youtube video purposes, so I have yet to see this guy around here. Funny how common the stock image of him is, I saw it on the CPO JET site for the live customer chat service. Made me crack up. -- Tristin King -- When in doubt, sand it. |

The easiest way to get “Ted” to stop advertizing here is by hitting him in the pocketbook. I believe those are pay per click ads, so he pays anywhere from .10 to 1.50 per click. The ideas is click the hell out of his ads so when he gets his advertizing bill and compares it to his sales, he’ll get the message. -- ok, is it cut once measure twice, cut twice measure once???? I know....I'll just keep cutting until it's long enough. |

WFT? The banner ads are based on browsing hx but there should still be some content control by LJ’s to keep crap like this from popping up. -- Rob, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario |

I hit refresh many times trying to recreate this ad but never produced. Blocking the ads is just masking the problem which is great but I’d truly like to see Ted’s woodworking go away completely. -- Randy - If I'm not on LJ's then I'm making Saw Dust. I like bladedust’s idea, click and charge Ted. I’ve got grandchildren that would love nothing more than sitting at the computer and clicking this over and over. Got to get them set up on this, it will keep them busy for hours. -- "I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. Even if bladedust’s tactic works everyday some poor soul buys into his scheme or scam allowing him to afford the ads he post but if it works then great. -- Randy - If I'm not on LJ's then I'm making Saw Dust.
