Topic tags/keywords: secret compartments

My brother sent me this short video of a cabinet with shelves that have their own secrets. Very nice idea for storing guns or valuables. Just DON’T lose the key!

I love it! I am just not a talented enough woodworker to do something like that.

I love these cabinets! I would love to have something like that in my house.

It makes me want to start a gun collection just to have something to store them in.

Wow, my dream shelf :) I could definitely use that. Great inspiration, thanks

Do any of you know of any resources for hardware used in creating things like this?

@MrsN—I sent a message to the manufacturer to see if they sell hardware kits, or just finished pieces. I’ll post the response here when I get it.

I did a built-in bookcase for one of my customers so he could hide a big safe. I took the pictures before the safe was installed.

The left half of the bookcase slides back and the right half of the bookcase slides to the left in front of the other half and the safe will sit in the cavity in the right half.

Just heard back from Matthew Dworman from QLine Designs. They only sell completed pieces.
