Dear Fellow Jocks and Jockettes,

Those of you that have been around for a while, will remember Gene (from Virginia). He was the first to welcome many of us to this site. Yo probably know that his health hasn’t been the best. Well, he is feeling a little better and asked me to send this on to everyone. In part, his message is:

“I thought that you would be interested to hear the latest up-date on the old health.
Three weeks ago, I was on fifteen prescriptions and have been able, (with God’s help) to stop taking all but seven. I really think God plans to help me reduce that number.
I had A stress test this past Monday, And failed it miserably. At the start of the test, my setting pulse was at 110. I got on the treadmill and my heart rate increased after just one minute. I managed to walk a total of about three minutes before the leg pain was so severe, that I had to stop. The Doctor turned to the nurse, looking puzzled and asked her what the readings were? She said that I had peaked out. He asked me to try it once more and the same thing happened. I guess I failed that test! At least now the doctors may be able to find out what my problems are and give the right treatment. I go the first of the week to see my doctor and hope to find out something then.
Now for some good news. I am back to feeling great! ( except for the legs) All of everyone’s prayers, along with my faith are working a miracle
in my life, and it is great to see what the touch of Gods hand working looks like in action.
I have a big and I do mean (BIG) surprise that I will share with you and the rest of the members around Christmas time. Sorry but I can’t even give a hint. It will be a testament to God’s awesome power and the way He is putting it to use in my life.
If you would like to share this with the rest of the folks? Feel free too do so. Please continue to keep me in your prayers. (they sure are working)”.

I know he would appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks,

Lew

Thanks, Lew. I have been wondering about Gene.
