I’ve got a Stanley 45 that I’m interested in selling and I was curious about the right way to proceed. As far as I can tell (and from the note on the box it came in) that it hasn’t been used and if it has, only lightly. I’ve got all of the original parts and the standard box of cutters. I wasn’t sure if it would be wise to separate the cutters and the plane and sell them separately, or if it would be wise to keep it all together. |

Keep it together! Do you have any pics you can post so that everyone can see it and give you a better idea of what you’ve got? -- Matt |

I have pictures but most of them are too large for upload. Here’s the only two small enough for upload:
It’s a later version and doesn’t have the original box, but I do have the instruction manual and all of the cutters and other pieces. |

I suggest you keep it together. I’m confused by the remark that you have the “standard box of cutters” I have a few 45’s and they have at least 2 boxes of cutters each. I might be interested in buying it if you can get me some pics. If you want to email me some pics, PM me for my email address. -- Dave, Colonie, NY |

I knew they came with two boxes, but the one I have is the more simple set. I’m hoping to get at least $150-$175 (or best offer). Here’s some more pictures: Here’s the full set (minus the instruction manual from the previous pictures):

And the cutters themselves: |

In full disclosure I should say that the outside of the box has one corner wrapped in duct tape. |

It’s definitely been used, but do not undercut the value of one in that condition. Mine looks much, MUCH more worn and doesn’t have the OEM boxes and I’ve been offered $200 for it. See:
