Here in Sal Lake City Utah USA, we are in the middle of a blizzard.
If the snow keeps falling at the rate we will have a foot of snow or more by tonight
Who is going to answer "nice and sunny' ?
There are LJs down under, no?
Here in the Green Mountain state of Vermont, it is in the mid 30's, with a wet snow or wintery mix, lightly falling from the overcast sky. We are forcasted to get 2"-4" of snow by tomorrow afternoon. The unseasonably high temps are not allowing the snow to accumilate. That is good for me, as I drive a plow truck, so it's shop time!!!
BTW: Thanks for taking the hit & collecting all that snow!!! Lol.
here in Badgerland we just touched 32F for the first time in months. might be the coldest winter on record (-17F one night last week). 6 inches of new snow yesterday.
Reporting from a mesa somewhere in the wilds of N. AZ.
It was nice and sunny most of today. Scattered clouds moving in. Mid 50s for a high. 60% chance of snow tomorrow and a high of 31.
I'm sooo ready for spring!
Here in NM it's sunny, mid 40s. Wish that storm was here. I'm afraid to walk in my back yard. Its so dry that I think I can start a fire by the static electricity off my shoes.
We are in west central Wisconsin Bert (2 hours from both Madison and Twin Cities)...long story as to how we got here (a very common question we get after living/working in CT, Switzerland, London and NY…usually it's "why in the F* did you move here???"). I just smile and tell them that I love it here (one would have had to lived/worked in CT, Switzerland, London and NY to understand).
But anyway, liking your Clearview but it wouldn't work here with the outside unit. I might put a unit in the "cold side" of the shop (same building, 16'x30', not finished and no heat). Problem I have is that I went with a "panelized" house and when they build they factor in about 25% waste factor (they want to get in and out and can't be bothered with a bad batch of shingles or siding). So much of my "cold" side is full of the 25% waste material (all "premium" stuff since that's what I wanted…cement board siding, lifetime shingles, valley tin etc.).
East Tennessee… Woke up at 5:30 this morning to 40. By noon it was 55 and climbing. At 3pm I was out in my shop and took off the light jacket I had on. When I came in the house for supper (5pm) it was about 67
As I type this (7:30 pm) it's 53 and the weather-guessers on TV are saying tomorrow should be more of the same.
Here on the 'Frozen Tundra' (Green Bay) we have about 12" of snow on the ground after a big melt in January. We have had several days of sub-zero weather in February, and the next snow storm (predicted for Monday) will probably make the winter of 2013 the fourth or fifth snowiest in history. It has snowed every day since Tuesday … today it got up to 33 degrees so we had some melting.
Hey Bert, I didn't khow you were a local too. I live in Taylorsville, and I am definitely ready for our weather to start improving! These temperatures this winter make shop time unbearable.
Weather service says we're (Puget Sound) having a dull winter. No major winds, moderate temps, and little lowland snow. A proto-typical northwest winter - damp and chilly.
Tucson Az current temp 45 degrees…it snowed most of the day this past Wednesday which is rare for us…looking at high 60's this coming week and low 70's for the weekend…I see yard work in Jeff's forecast this week…
I miss the snow we have not had very much this year. The school has only closed one time for snow and one fo ice this year. The lack of snow has hurt my sons spending money because he has only had to shovel the sidewalk three times this winter.
