Topic tags/keywords: blade bandsaw question

Hey everyone, first post here, and I am looking into buying this rockwell 10inch bandsaw for $100 locally. He said the blade on it is good, and his son used it a little this past summer. My question is, is it worth 100$? how hard is it gonna be to get blades with it? I’ve read that it take 71.75 inch blades…

Also if i do buy it, what blades will i need to be cutting roughly everything, mainly for a plastic material that will be curvey cutting. Also I will do a little metal and wood. Will I only need 2 different blades or 3.

Here’s a pic of the saw

I also found this manual but havn’t had time to go through it

I believe this is the model with the plastic wheels if so no it is not worth it.

Save your money until you get enough to buy a 14” saw.

I Agree look for a 14”. the HF band saw is pretty sweet for the price and a lot of people seem to really like them. I do.

If you’re getting an 10 inch band saw, why not go for a 14? Jet, Grizzly or Rikon 14inchers.
