The Barn is down Follow the link :-) At 11:30 yesterday the barn went down. It fell so beautifuly. All wood stayed intact from the rood boards to the bottom as far as I can tell. I pulled nearly 60 boards off yesterday after it fell and they are in wonderful shape. Have a great day!

Sounds like the real fun is about to begin. I just hope that you have plenty of storage available. Any idea what type of lumber you are salvaging?

Congratulations!! Hopefully you’ll get some nice wood that will make all the effort worth while.

That must have been something to watch! Glad everything went safely and the lumber stayed in good shape.

Good news Jerry. Look out for those snakes.

The wood I am able to relaim is Oak and Yellow Poplar. I did discover a wood I am not familiar with at all. It is actually an olive green in color with some dark tan color mixed in. I had my camara, I wished I had brought the tripod to record the fall. I had planned on it but just forgot to.

Thanks friends for the comments. The right side rafters are all clean now. I’ll get the left side cleaned of wood today. I am actually able to walk on the what was the 2nd floor after yesterdays work. I am going to drop the work on the barn to 4-5 days a week and start making some items in the shop. Oh boy I look so forward to getting back in there. I had just finished building the sliding table saw and push sticks and getting the shop setup when this project came along. I am so far ahead of schedule I can afford a little time back here at home.
