Do any of you have family or friends in the Kansas state area or somewhere close to that geographic? I am wanting to obtain a handful of the acorns off of the Quercus macrocarpa ( common name: Burr Oak) and I understand that species of oak is native or common to that locale. If you are familiar with a friend or family member that might be willing to assist in this endeavor, i would greatly appreciate it if you would let me know so I could contact.

My son lives in Kansas City, I will send him your posting and see if he can help. They are so buried in snow right now, it may be a few days.

Burr oak and post oak are also indigenous to the western part of the DFW area.

Just a ‘bump up’ to reignite the responses necessary for me to try to get my hands on some of these acorns, thanks so very much for understanding.
