I was at my local Car Toys store today getting a remote auto start installed in my wife’s Tahoe. A guy I know works there and he did the work. He mentioned they had a woodworking shop in the back and proceeded to gimme a look-see.
Well, there it was, a Saw Stop Cabinet saw surrounded by a large work area at least 8 feet total from left to right. The outfeed part of the table was angled sorta to the right and also extended over to the wall making for a large work surface. Part of the table had a triangular section with a big router hanging under a plate. I couldn’t tell what the make was but it was much bigger than my Bosch 1617. Lift it out, change bits and set it back in.
As he stated, there isn’t much they can’t make. There were a dozen or more templates hanging on the wall, and a dust collector sitting in the corner. It sure caught me by surprise. Needless to say, they use a lot of MDF in their work making speaker enclosures.
Sorry I didn’t get any pictures. I wasn’t expecting something that elaborate in a stereo shop in a strip shopping center. :-)
