I am looking for a Zero Clearance Insert for my table saw. Any ideas? Any compatible inserts that may be from different manufacturer?

Hi there techo. I have a Skil saw table saw. They don’t make any zero clearances of any sort for this saw. If you want to have more control on the cuts I would suggest building sleds to suit whatever specific need that you have. There are many plans available for those. I remedied mine by (carefully) grinding the tabs out of the miter slots and created sleds for it. I also purchased the skil 80092 table saw stand which increases the rip capicity greatly and gives you a t square fence. That fence alone is worth the purchase. The thing only cost 40 bucks on amazon. I have seen it now for about 60 or so. Hope this helps

I agree with Kaleb. Sleds seem like the best thing for portables. Make a few of different sizes for different purposes, such as small parts, general crosscutting, and panels. I suppose you could try and make your own insert out of wood, but it seems like it would be a little difficult. People have done it, though. And to Kaleb, that table saw stand is the coolest accessory I’ve seen in a while, and it’s pretty affordable!
