I am considering buying a Delta T2, and I read they have been discontinued. It looks like around $190 from a place I found which still has them. I am also now considering getting a used table saw instead. I would like to have had more width capability a number of times, and the Rigid TS3612 seems to get excellent reviews and would give me the extra width. There is a mint condition one on Craigslist for $325 with the sawdust port (pic included), and another unspecified condition with an 8” Freud dado for $300. There is also a Rockwell saw (no model number given) for $300, the guy is moving, and needs to sell (pic at top). It was supposedly purchased three years ago from a cabinet shop for $600. Three hundred would be about my financial limit at this time.
I read the Craftsman has 3 hp., and the Rigid only 1.5 hp, so would I be losing half the power? Is it due to voltage switching, or are rating standards iffy? I tend to take care of things, and keep them a long time, and am leaning towards the TS3612.
What should I ask / do you think I could get for my Craftsman with the bad fence on Craigslist if I go that route as the extra cutting width would sure be nice?
Thank you for your time and wisdom!!
