Just got power back tonight after it went out Sunday afternoon. Ike reached Ohio. 75 MPH winds trees and power lines don’t play well together.

Had a Maple land in the back yard took out the fence, thinking okay no real damage I can cut up the wood waste none. Well the maple was a tall tree blocked by another, not really my tree so never really looked closely at it.

What landed in my yard was the top and it was not maple leaves that were the top but Poison Ivy.

The vine was about 2 inches in Diameter wrapped around the maple.

No cutting that for me. Never seen Poison Ivy get that formidable before.

-- Measure once cut twice....oh wait....ooops.

Oh man, if it weren’t for bad luck you’d probably have no luck at all!

It would have been more aggravating if the tree was a walnut!

Hmmm… If you cut and dried some of that vine, you could turn some poison pens, right?
