Hi ,I am Bill from New Mexico . I had all my wood working tools in storage and lost them when I could no longer pay the rent . Every thing was sold at auction. At 63 I am no longer in the mood to be acquiring things . Some months ago I wanted to purchase a sewing horse for my leather working and found nothing of any use on line . What I did was take the best of all I saw and compiled it and made my own design and took it to a local shop and payed to have it constructed . The elderly man who made it developed serious health issues after it was done so my project was Howard’s last big project sadly. Pete the man who owns the shop is being forced to partially close his shop and show room due the economy and rising costs . Getting any small projects from him in the future is unlikely . I have a million ideas that require some wood working so I am looking to be the conductor and have some one else make my ideas . I made some full scale plans and drawings for the horse and have them on a PDF file so they can be sent on line . There is a site called leatherworkers.net with 6,000 members that has lots of people looking for this type of tool . Of course shipping will be a issue so my whole point here is : Any body interested in this project ? The plans are done so that any part of this Stitching horse can be produced as singles IE seats ,legs etc so as long as the wood remains the same the parts can be ordered as money allows . Meaning this can be done as a kit letting the customer assemble it . This is the type of thing for a one man shop with low operating costs and some time . I have a need for other fixtures and jigs with a leather focus . Anybody interested ? not looking to make money here my goal is to get a second horse made from wood a step up from my first one and help a few folks . If you make money from this I ask you make a donation to my favourite charity : www.smiletrain.com I am brand new here and this is my first post so forgive me if I have crossed any lines with my post .
