The felder fb 510 is anew machine that is being made by felder in austria. The first machines are due in the US around the end of April. I am planning to drive from long island NY, to Deleware to checkout the new machine. Based on reviews of the fb600 I think this will be an excellent choice-the equal of the high end italian saws. I still want to look before buying. If you learn anything new let me know.
Btw, do you have saw that the felder is replacing or supplementing?
Just a thought, but if you haven't considered it, you might want check out the great add on table extention that is available. You can use it in the back as an out feed table or even on the side. You probably knew all this already, but just in case you didn't…...
Charlie, i'm taking delivery of the FB510 in a few days, sounds like yours might be there already or coming soon. please post any info after you get it. i'll try to do the same.
I have had a felder sliding table saw not the one you asked about but their technology is second to none, a great austrian company .There is plenty of video info online look them up they even have a large fanclub where they have their own website. I would say not a problem if you can afford it they are not cheap but then if you want the best then you've got to pay.Best wishes Alistair
If so how do you like it. I am having trouble deciding on the felder or spending even more money on a minimax mm20. Not having seen one and seeing no real reviews has made this difficult. Also, the motor designation as S6 40% put me off a bit. Still, I can't dismiss it and might be very happy with the saw.
The saw was delivered last week along with my CF 531P combo unit. Since electrical connections were just completed yesterday the only post I can provide so far is that it looks great in my shop! Should be making my first cuts next week and will report back.
