I am looking for a drill press and I found a powermatic 1200 for $1200. Does anyone know anything about this drill press? Is it a decent deal? I know its a lot for a drill press but I am thinking it is big enough to be able to do just about anything metal or wood wise.

Unless the price is not US Dollars, that is way overpriced.

Check out prices of new machines.

Those Powermatics are real respected machines
for metalworking…. it really depends on the sort
of work you need to do. They have a 6” quill
travel, which is a lot.

If you do a lot of metalwork a drill press like
that would be nice to have. For woodworking,
$1200 is a lot to spend on a drill press.

Have your say...
