Well as some of you may remember I have a Delta 46-460 and the live center got stuck in the tail stock.
I tried everything I could even heat and it wont budge.
I took it to Delta DeWalt service and they couldn’t get it out either so they are ordering the part it is stuck in. I hope they find one on one of the trucks and send it in a hurry becuase I’m sitting on about 14 bowl blanks at the moment.
I have spalted maple, holly, norfolk island pine, camphor, hackberry, red elm, bradford pear, curly maple, red gum, box elder, flame box elder, royal paulownia, sapele, and spalted ambrosia maple.

Sure hope this doesn’t take too long.

Dang Russ. How did ya do that? Super arm strength?
Hope it works out.
I bought the taper cleaning “reamer” to help prevent such. Hope I dodge that bullet.

Its the cheap hollow live centers the lathe came with. You cant just shove a bowl gouge in there and knock it out. I have some wire brushes coming and a couple live centers for the new tail stock though. It fell off the bench on the floor and hit right on the tip of the live center so that’s how it got stuck in the first place.

I’ve NEVER dropped anything on the floor. Yeah. Right.
Be safe.
