LJ Dingle(Danny) and I are parked next to each other in Arizona City, Az at the High Chaparral RV park Occasionally we get to visit other LJ’s in the area ( within 100 miles). in Jan I got to visit with Lizzardhead

SORRY ALL THE PICS SHOW PARTIAL. JUST RIGHT MOUSE AND HIT “VIEW IMAGE” AND YOU CAN SEE THE WHOLE PHOTO…....Thanks, Jim

(Dave) in Tempe.

Dave gave me a couple of pieces of some nice Corian and some other logs from a decorative tree in his yard.

Today Danny and I visited Shipwright(Paul) in Green Valley,Az and got to cut out a marquetry project on his Chevalet. It was easier to cut than I thought but the package preparation and the assembling the pieces was done by Paul. This gives you a very good appreciation of that art Paul built this machine and it is very well balanced and easy to use! He also gave us a tour of his shop in Arizona- Paul is from Vancouver,BC.

Paul, me and Danny

Paul preparing the cut plan

Danny on the Chevalet

Me on the Chevalet

All the visits were made possible with Lumberjocks. This is a great site to bring woodworkers together!!!!.........Jim

Must have been great to catch up with some LJ’s JIm, don’t forget to take them to Desert Wood Turning Roundup in Mesa Az on the 22/23/24 Feb. We Aussies know all the important stuff that happens in the States.

Hey Pete, Jim has a bed ready for him if he ever gets out here but hell did you have to tell him which state I lived in? Only taking the piss.

I can guarantee you a bed here Jim, all I would want in return is a hands on lesson on turning tool sharpening!
