Hello All,
Just wanted to share this idea about LED lighting in Cabinet Doors. I worked on this project recently, this was a Bar Cabinet for a client, and as can be seen in the pictures, we used this LED tape from Hafele that is very easy to apply around the door frame. Basically the idea is, the light will flow trough the greenish color of this 1/4 glass plate, and will intercept the engravings at the center, enhancing the depth and color of the design…....As I work in the shop, I never had the chance to see the lights working, but the installers say it looks so cool.

Great idea, I bet it looks really cool when turned on!

How did you apply the led strip? I know it has an adhesive on the back, did you use anything else? I ask because I have a similar led strip I applied to the underside of a horizontal surface in my house, and the strips came off in a couple of days. I used 5 min epoxy to keep the strip in the air.

Cool project—

Thats right, the LED tape has adhesive in the back, the doors needed to be finished first , for the adhesive has a good surface to grab. I made a small mistake at some point, needing to pull out the tape and noticed how strong is the adhesive.
