Topic tags/keywords: dust collection

Hey guys,
I picked up the Rockler DC starter kit a couple weeks ago and I’m getting ready to start putting together the whole system. I bought a couple pieces of 4” black PVC from HD and noticed that the joints that come in the Rockler kit fit pretty loosely and don’t make a good seal in the PVC. Is there a special PVC I should buy or should I just wrap some duct tape on the valve end before I insert it into the PVC pipe?
I know somebody else has discovered the same problem before, right?

I dont have your specific parts, so I can’t comment on your questions. I’ve had a similar situation though with dust collector pieces and I just put a band of duct tape around the mail end of the connector so it fit snug in the female end.

Have your say...
