After my latest failure on my G0490x (needs new motor) I’m considering selling it off and buying a replacement once fixed under warranty. Long story short, this is my second G0490x after the first they took back under warranty. Customer service is great, but the best customer service is a product that never needs service.

I really like the helical head and would like to stay with one. The decision comes down to the 60HH dovetail model for $2200 or the 882HH for $3000 which is a parallelogram. I’m hesitant to buy dovetail model after my Grizzly was so far out of alignment, but it would be nice to save $800. Thoughts???

Also if anyone has any input on Powermatic customer service that would be helpful.

I recently bought a PM2000. While uncrating the saw I found a rolled pin laying on the floor. A CSR spent about 15 minutes with me on the phone and we figured out where it came from. Haven’t needed them since. I’m pleased with their service and product.

All 3 of my PM machines have been perfect right out of the box. A machine that works without any phone calls really is the best customer service.
