Topic tags/keywords: snowstorm photos

I live in north-central Massachusetts. Last night we had a huge dumping of snow accompanied by howling winds. The snow is fluffy and drifted in crazy patterns.

Here is the view out the door that we usually use. There is a covered porch, but the snow is drifted right up to the door. There is nothing under that drift. It is about 5’ high and growing.

The poor cat is very confused. We let him out another door, but he keeps trying to get back in the blocked door.

Does anyone have any storm photos to share?

Yes, we stacked a few days’ supply of firewood right by the door – seemed like a good idea. Now, we can’t get out the door!

Soon, I will venture around the house and clear the way.

Hey ChuckV – I live in Worcester. Just contemplating starting up the Toro and attacking some 5’ drifts. Quite the night. The good news is that we did not lose power (which we do 90% of the time there is a storm).

We’re supposed to get 3-6 inches of snow tonight. I would rather have rain.

I told my 9-year-old that once he had this drift cleared, he could have breakfast:

... kidding

Good to hear those of you up in Mass have power, anyone heard from Ellen or Lorna? The cape must have gotten slammed. We held on to our electricity, thankfully, here in central CT. Here’s what my morning and afternoon looked like.

From what I got Quincy is without power, but I haven’t heard of anything regarding the Cape.
