Topic tags/keywords: planer digital readout sale I just saw that the Wixey digital planer readout is for sale on Amazon for $32 (free shipping with Prime). I’ve wanted one of these ever since I got my Dewalt 734, so I jumped on it as soon as I saw it! -- Miles |

Yeah, there were only six listed at $32. Or maybe they noticed the sudden rush of orders… Still, $44 is a good discount off the list price of $57. -- Miles |

Installed mine this weekend and tested it against a digital caliper. Difference: 0.000” ! This has got to be the best planer upgrade ever. -- Miles |

Hah, isnt it though Miles? It really made my workflow on my 735 way more efficient. If you just used the double sided tape to install, you may want to consider drilling the holes for the screws. My tape eventually came unglued even w/ proper surface prep. |

Good advice, Marcus. Did you remove the double-sided/foam tape before putting the screws in, or just drill through and screw it down with the tape in place? -- Miles |

I took the original off, put on some of my own to help making lining everything up easy, and then left it on when I screwed it in. |
Have your say...
