Topic tags/keywords: table saw mbs mbs-250 tablesaw refurbishing

I have been looking around Craigslist for some time now trying to find a great deal on a table saw. All the good deals seem to go quickly. I have found this one though. It is an older cabinet saw with a swing out table. The only markings on it are MBS-250. I can’t find a lot about it so I wanted to ask you. What do you think of it? At what price would this be a good deal?

A little about me. I am a weekend woodworking. I really enjoy doing this and have decided that I want to start building up a better shop. Right now I have a portable (cheap) table saw and I am frustrated and tired of it. Through advise that I have read I should try and get as nice of a table saw as I can afford. That is what I am trying to do on a very limited budget. So I have been looking through Craigslist for the last couple months trying to find something in my budget that is nice.

This forum has be a great wealth of information for me and has helped me out a lot. Thank everyone for providing sure a great place!

Never heard of it but I like it’s initials.

The swing arm looks like it belonged to a sliding table but it is a long way from the blade.

Unless you’re mechanically inclined I would stick with a name brand saw like Delta, PM, Oliver, or the euro sliders. Parts for a saw like this could be hard to find.

It’s a Mikiway.

Probably a good deal at $300-$500 depending on
your area.

Looks like it might be badged by Andreou Machinery.

Thanks for your help! I was too late to the party this time. It was sold before I got back to him. Thanks for your great help!

Have your say...
