Isn’t 62×14 x 1.5 more like 9 board feet?

It is close to 9bf which means that an offer of 50 for something oak or depending on location cherry, maple or sycamore could all be possible. I paid 100 each for 24×1.25×120-132” boards. At least he wasn’t rediculous and asked for them to be free of defects.

muleskinner,

You’re right; it works out to about 9.04 bd. ft. so he’s offering about $5.50 bd ft. to buy.

Buy some 8/4 poplar & sell it to him!
... surely he’s willing to pay the freight too! LOL
