I have 3 saw sets: a vintage Disston Triumph and the 2 modern Somax saw sets. I prefer the Somaxes. -- Rich;) -"Dada make a big mess?" "Yes Dada made a big mess." |

Have fun and enjoy .I can’t sharpen my saws and buy disposable saws and use otherwise Japanese speciality saws which I like very much.Alistair -- excuse my typing as I have a form of parkinsons disease |

Consistency mostly. Freehanding is inconsistent until you get a lot more practice and experience. I have a couple of little wood blocks that I’ve used so far, following Ron Herman’s example. This looks more accurate and user friendly, and will hopefully give me more consistent results. -- Rich;) -"Dada make a big mess?" "Yes Dada made a big mess." |
