This is not at all woodworking related, just an expression of relief by a frazzled woodworker. I have just come back from the hospital where our local paramedics took my wife in after a weird after dinner accident. After they scooped her up and got her on her way our neighbour Randy from across the street knocked on the door offering to look after the kids while I followed Jenn in our van (always follow them in your vehicle so you have a way to get home after!...if you can drive that is ) moments later Bill from two house over came over. Randy and Bill immediately got their daughters over (my kids adore these two girls) to watch, and calm the kids while I took off to the hospital. It was a relief to me that they were there for my family, and it was an enormous relief to Jenn when I told her the kids were well looked after when I caught up with her at the hospital. I’m an EMR and this stuff isn’t supposed to rattle me, but I guess when its one of your own… I am very grateful to Randy, Bill and their two daughters. Thanks for letting me de-frazzle a bit. -- ....next big purchase is wood for the next project, Mark |
