Workbench - connecting the leg structure to the top

Hi all – I’m completing the top of my split top workbench (laminated steemed beech) and will begin putting together the leg assembly.

I’m hoping for some advice / options and photos of considerations on attaching the leg assemblies to the top – managing for wood movement, strength, etc.

Thanks all – I’m new to the site here, was introduced through my local Rockler guy, and looking forward to it.

Gibney – ScottyBYo built a split top and documented his top-to-base matchup. Lots of pictures, too.
