My wife has always taken some what of a dim view on the use of hand tools especially hand planes. Today we were fitting up a cherry Shaker wall clock. We needed about 1/16th’’ taken of some end grain.
She said, “Why don’t you use your shooting board.?
The LV LAJ shaved some curls off of that on and later on on a couple of more. I never rubbed it in and we went on our merry way.
All was square almost seamless.

My wife probably thinks a shooting board is something for target practice.

My shooting board sees heavy use on every project. I wouldn’t be able to do much without it. Wonderful tool. Glad you put yours to good use.

It’s good to keep square & almost seamless with your wife. You both approached it at exactly the right angle.
