I got a 1/4 inch oak park jig, I followed the directions and set it up with the proper clearance. My joints seem to still be loose. Anyone that uses this jig, please recommend a way for a newbie to get it right? I have a router with 1/4 inch shank.

I tried 1/2 inch pine for a test box. A lot of tear out and sides wouldn’t fit. I had a joint on one side of the box that stuck up and vise versa on the other side. How do I make the box flush on all sides too and bottom?

Thanks for the help. New guy with little skill and a lot of interest.

Thanks.

Greg.
