I am an avid reader of Apple Insider not the articles but the comments section of each article. It is unbelievable to me how brainwashed and deluded the commenters are. It verges on religious (Martin, small r). The fanboys believe there is a worldwide conspiracy being played out against Apple. Everything Apple builds (according to the sheeple) is the best even though there are Android devices out there today that kick their butt. Even though Apple was first to the punch with phones and tablets today they are being left behind and they just cannot accept that. Any sports team would love to have them as fans. With these fans you could never do anything wrong. The Sac Kings need a few of them. Between the comments section and the Samsung commercials on Youtube I get my daily chuckles. Here’s good one… http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bJafiCKliA8 -- I would drink a river of the kool aid before I took the smallest sip of the tea... |

It’s all fun and games DKV, until you start messing with Apple. This is serious business and not to be mocked! :) -- John, BC, Canada |

Nwbusa, I’m not mocking…I’m laughing hard. But then, maybe I am mocking just a teeny bit. -- I would drink a river of the kool aid before I took the smallest sip of the tea... |

Apple is down 10% just today ~$460.00/share. Not too long ago it hit an all time high of ~$700.00/per share. Today it has lost $50 billion in market capitalization. Soon it will loose it’s “most valuable US company status” if the declines continues. A group of investors are selling shares because the analysts said the company did not sell enough devices (they sold 48 million ipads/iphones). Company philosophy is to focus on products, not profits. Maybe the conspiracy theorists are correct. Where do I get my daily laughs? The financial blogs. DISCLAIMER: I don’t own any Apple Products or stocks. I do however love their pie. -- Nicky |

Here’s something else that makes me chuckle. I was just reading a blog (doesn’t matter the subject) and was following a squabble between to readers. One reader wrote to the other reader “F—k you!” Sooooo, I started thinking which I am wont to do on occasion if a person writes “F—k you!” on a blog is it any different than writing “Fuck you!”? If vulgarity can get you kicked off a site would both people get the boot or just the one that didn’t use spaces? If my substitute word for the “F” word is “Frat” and I say “Frat you!” can I then get kicked off the site? Is there any difference between the three writers if all three have the same communication intent? -- I would drink a river of the kool aid before I took the smallest sip of the tea... |

It depends on the subject of the argument. American football: Ice hockey: Mining: -- βIt's so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.β β John Steinbeck |

The Irish have this covered. Feck is not as bad as fuck and can be used in the same context except for fuck in the vulgar term for sex. And you spell two with a feckin’ w Mr Posting Police. -- Do or do not, there is no try |

Curiously, this is what happens on Lumberjocks if you try to curse at someone substituting asterii for the letter u. The example below is used purely for illustrative purposes: “If you use metal drawer slides on a piece of furniture you must be a fcking philistine, and obviously don’t give a sht about your work”. Perhaps, DKV, as you have a special relationship with Martin, you could bring this to his attention. -- Do or do not, there is no try |

oh man DKV…you never seen “A Christmas Story”? I think Ralphie used that word when the lug-nuts flew into the air and all heck broke loose (my mom preferred a brand of soap known as Sweetheart…kinda ironic when I think about it). For those so easily offended in the corner bar, I’ll add that my use of the term lug-nuts refers to fasteners used to hold a tire…nothing more. |
