I ran across this ad on craigslist and was wondering what some of you might consider a reasonable offer for this lumber. I am not even sure what I would do with it if I got it. I am not set up to process lumber, even though I have been on the look out for a jointer and planner.

Since he’s so vague about the actual quantity, and you have no idea how clear the slabs are and what the moisture content is, I’d offer $250.

200 – 250 would be my offer sight unseen. If he is too lazy to count the number of boards he has, he more than likely dosen’t care about it. Its not that hard to count to 25 or 30.

I agree with the first two. 200-250

I agree with the others, I may even go slightly higher, but not much. Without a jointer and planer, the lumber may be pretty tough to work with. But, it is a good excuse to get both. Good luck.
