Topic tags/keywords: fun question cheeseburger

OK folks, this one is non-woodworking and just for fun… ;-)

I know we are geographically diverse bunch and I also know that regions vary greatly on how they top a hamburger. We all know how Jimmy Buffet likes his, but… what do you put on your hamburger???

Me??? If I’m going all out I’ll take American Cheese, bacon, lettuce, onion, pickle, mustard, ketchup and mayo. Good stuff!!!

Maybe a Portabella mushroom on top, maybe Swiss or provolone or yellow cheese. No tomatoes, no onions, no mayo, no mustard, no ketchup, maybe lettuce. and maybe BBQ sauce.

First, we need to get the proportions correct. These double/triple/quad burgers have way too much meat for the amount of bun. I’m a carb freak- I LOVE THEM!!! So a burger has to have enough bun to carry the goods.
Then add ketchup and onions. Served along with a beer a and you have all the basic food groups.

Some of my favorite sauce toppings- tabasco, or bbq, or salsa…. the old standby is ketchup, pickle, mayo, cheese, and bacon.

I like several different varieties. Onion ring, BBQ sauce, Apple smoked bacon and sharp cheddar, also like chicken breast with bacon, cheese and BBQ burger. Also I enjoy your basic bacon cheese burger except here in Idaho we invented “Fry Sauce” to go along with our fries and tots which is basically mayo and ketchup (Secret blend…lol) and that is good for dippin instead of ketchup.

horseradish sauce, onion, (it’s not a burger without them), mustard, relish, and maybe some tomato… oh and dill pickle.

Any combination of all of the above mentioned ingredients will do. Bring it on. The more toppings the merrier!

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese. pickles, onions, on a seasme seed bun… j/k

If it sits still, I will generally put it on a burger. I really like grilled onions, mushrooms, and bacon are my favs.

We have a place in West Springfield called “The White Hut” Famous for grilled onions, they go through I think I read 100# a day, small place, maybe 10 or 12 stools at counter, work area about 3’ x 20’ 4 or 5 people working. is amazing to watch. the cheeseburgers with fried onions melt in your mouth . . . darn I’m getting hungry . . .

standing room only at lunch time
