A friend of mine is getting married soon and wants me to make a bunch of bolt action pens. He wants them to be interesting as far as grain, but traditional gunstock material. We settled on walnut burls as regular walnut just doesn’t have enough figure (especially on a small blank pen like these).

Where can I get some that is good quality and very figured?
