Dragons, that went really well for you. You haven’t been on this site long enough to even start to think about “the way we were”. Are you kidding me? Soooo, now that you’ve had your say and it’s obvious that you want me kicked off the site please tell me why.

Can it be that when I post on a woodworking subject I discuss woodworking? No?

Can it be that when I post on a OT topic that I pick an OT topic to discuss? No?

Can it be all of the swear words and profanity that I use when posting? No?

If it’s none of the above then what could it possibly be? Could it be you don’t agree with what I have to say and you can do nothing about it? Does it tighten your jaws when I disagree with you or you disagree with me? Do you know what that’s called. It’s called the freedom to have your own opinion. Sweet and Simple. Your own opinion…something that cannot be taken away nor stifled. Isn’t America great?

I’m not going to ask you to go away like you want me to. Know why? I like variety. Even though I get down on Joe I still appreciate his opinion. I may not agree with it (I seldom do) but I know he has the right. Get with life Dragons…

how can you have a wolf in sheep’s clothing when sheep don’t have clothing, just look at your own picture above. Best I’ve seen is blankets. Sure it isn’t a wolf in cheap clothing? That would be a challenge at the end of the day, getting a wolf into cheap clothing. You’d get your face ripped off for sure trying to stuff a wolf in a blue velvet leisure suit.

You would think, after all this time, there would have been one smart sheep in wolves clothing…

If you want to see a smart sheep, watch the British animated series called Shaun the Sheep

It is hilarious in so many different way!

There’s something fishy going on here.

Oldnovice, if you think Shaun the Sheep is good, check out Wallace and Gromitt, also the creation of Nick Park.

Drat, I was at work when TWWW #1 went off the rails. Sometimes, when I think a thread is about to get tanked, I’ll paste excerpts into a Word document, for future reference. What did I miss?

It wasn’t that exciting Poopie, just another ‘Down with Off Topic Topics’ thread, the like of which we’ve seen before and no doubt, will see again.

Presumably it was pulled because the author used the word ‘idiots’ to describe some members (including DKV).

Or, Martin, being a massive fan of Korn and Slipknot, may have taken exception to the use of Barbra Streisand’s song “The Way We Were” which some wag posted the lyrics for.

Just reporting the facts DKV, I would never use the word idiot in the same sentence as your user name.
Apart from that last sentence, which is an exception.

Gene, you make me smile, not laugh, just smile…

Rick, no guts no glory. Why only say something half way? Get it out bubba, get it out. Don’t continue wrestling with that slippery pig you keep out back…

Rick, just checkin’. A man needs to know all those who consider him an idiot. Now the pig on the other hand…

Rick, did you know I’m a fan of Republic? I guess we do have something in common.

Ah, yes, the original thread, now gone, was about this: The OP commented on how the Lumberjocks site went downhill in the two months that he was a member. He criticized the casual, tolerant attitude of the Moderators.

What is this odd quirk of human nature? It’s like the city I grew up in, twice Money magazine’s top choice for the best US cities to live in. Yet people moved there from elsewhere, bought a home for $100,000 less than they paid elsewhere, got a good job, and spent the rest of their time criticizing and complaining how inadequate their new city was. Well.. WTF? These people would melt down whenever it was suggested they go back where they came from. Why did they move to another city in the first place? I work for a local corporation that has lots of prestige, yet the new hires chronically complain about how things were better at their old job… because…any ridiculous reason or another. Never mind they’re making $10,000-$15000 more than their old job elsewhere. I don’t get it. These individuals must think that it is the responsibility of others to steer their fate in life? You see ‘em coming, I just roll my eyes.
