I’m curious as to who has tablets and specifically if you use the following apps to watch video and your comments concerning how the app works and quality of audio/video.
1. Directv
2. HBOGo
3. Netflix
4. Youtube
5. Showtime Anytime
6. MaxGo

Add any you are using and rate the quality.
Thanks,

I can’t believe no one wants to discuss this. I have come to these conclusions:
1. Nobody has a tablet.
2. Nobody that has a tablet wants to discuss it.
3. Nobody that has a tablet wants to discuss it with me.
4. Nobody cares…

On our iPad we watch a lot of Netflix and Yotube. Sometimes YouTube loads slowly but all works well otherwise.

Thanks, Russ. Have you tried any of the other apps? What is the speed of your internet connection? I changed from ATT 6 Meg DSL to 20 Meg Comcast and saw an immediate difference. Both Netflix and Youtube are flawless. Since I am an Amazon Prime customer I also watch streaming from them. Not as good as Netflix but good. Netflix streaming is the standard I judge all other sites by.

Lumberdog, have you tried any of the other apps I listed? If not you should. What is the speed of your internet connection? The more I know the better I can complain when I send emails to the providers. I even helped Directv fix a problem they didn’t know about. If you think I’m relentless on LJs you should see me bugging the providers. Not to change the subject but Bank of America hates hearing from me when I have a complaint about the tablet app.

Let’s do this. If it’s not too much trouble could you guys rate the apps you use? We’ll use the old school method. A, B, C, D, F

Lumberdog, I bought three of my grandkids Fire HDs for Christmas. Can you run Google Maps and Street View on the HD?

Dan, I also stream Amazon and Netflix movies straight to my TV using a Roku unit. I think you can get one for about $99. Between the Prime and $7 a month from Netflix you’ll have all you need.

I like Amazon Prime for discount shipping and no sales tax.

I have a Samsung 7 inch Tab but don’t watch video…maybe once or twice. These days I use it to play music in the shop – either MP3’s or streaming music on iHeart Radio or Pandora via my home wireless network.

Note: I originally bought the Tab so I could use the Square credit card reader to process sales at softball tournaments of our action photography pics.

DKV, I have a Kindle Fire (Non HD) and I use it every day to check email, surf the web, watch Netflix, and Youtube. Even though it’s not HD, it actually has an excellent video display. I have had no issues with it.
