I was offered one of those “Beam” whole house vacuum setups for $100. I was not considering installing in my house, but it occured to me… aha! this should work great for my first ever dust collection!
If i had never joined LJ’s, i might of really considered it. But now after reading tons of forums posts and reviews.. i know a measly 125CFM is puppy chow compared to what is really needed (800+ CFM, if i’m correct).

So now i wait to see if a Powermatic 075-1 3hp/1phase will be up for grabs locally in a couple weeks.

I have several (4) smaller (1200 CFM) collectors so that my connection runs are short and I don’t have to run a power thirsty 3 HP motor when all it’s doing is servicing one particular machine. Just an idea.
