I know there are several posts on this subject, I just wanted to confirm to the folks that I was able
to use the Harbor Freight coupon to get a 20% discount on the R512 at my Home Depot in Jacksonville, FL.

This week (Jan-2-2013) R512 is selling for $499, minus the 20% I took home the saw for $399 plus tax.

Thank you Home Depot, I will shop at HD when ever I can.

Please have you HD Manager call my HD Manager. They don’t literally laugh in my face when I ask them if they’ll honor a HF coupon but they come very close.

It’s weird how using the HF varies from HD to HD. I’ve used the coupon a few times there and each time the manager has to come over because the cashier is a bit unsure. Without hesitation he tells them to take the 20% off as they match any competitor’s coupon. Definitely makes me shop at HD more, and not just w/ the coupon.

Yeah, my Home Depot will go for a few months accepting the HF coupon and then suddenly stop taking it. Then I’ll ask again in 6-12 months and they’ll say they do take it. Then a few months later they stop again. Its been going on likes this for years.

Nice deal! Now spend some of what you saved on a decent blade. Congrats!

Mine just about spit on the floor and call security to escort me out when I tried to use the HF coupon.
Of course, after my R4512 failed, and they said I had to haul it in myself for the trip to Atlanta, then haul it home myself after they fixed it at their leisure, that was the end of my HD adventures…

Very nice. I wasn’t aware that HD would honor HF coupons. I’ll have to try it.

When I was thinking of getting my 4512, was in one HD and asked about HF coupon and was told no because they don’t sell a comparable saw. Printed out the page from HF of their $750 contractor saw, went to another HD when I decided to buy one, head cashier said no. the person that was helping me went to the floor manager (whith coupon and printed page) and he said yes. I also had the saw on a dolly sitting at the register. If your told no, try another store, if possible.

way to go, me5269! and i’ve even called HD corporate CS (800- HOMEDEPOT) and had a CS rep instruct recalcitrant ASMs to provide the requested discount. better $100 in your pocket than theirs.
