Need some help with trying to figure out the difference between the narex chisel sold by highland woodworker and the ones sold by lee valley. The price is different but what about quality. Thanks for help Rob |

I think the ones sold by LV are imperial sized, not metric. -- Optimists are usually disappointed. Pessimists are either right or pleasantly surprised. I tend to be a disappointed pessimist. |

What Live4ever said, plus the LV ones have stained beech handles, but the highland ones have unstained beech handles. -- "hold fast to that which is good" |

I have the unstained bench chisels in metric sizes from Highland Woodworking and a pair of the stained handle skew chisels from Lee Valley. The quality is exactly the same. The only differences are the handle color and the fact that the skew chisels are imperial (1/2”). -- Rich;) -"Dada make a big mess?" "Yes Dada made a big mess." |
