Topic tags/keywords: lumber

I have just recently moved to Calgary, Alberta and am wondering if there is anyone from this area that can recommend a good place to find a varied selection of lumber in species as well as dimensions.

Sorry to hear you moved to Calgary. You should have moved to Edmonton. You know this means we’re enemies, at least when it comes to football and hockey. Try Home Depot if you want dimensional lumber, or Windsor Plywood. Myself, I prefer Windsor, for it has more variety.

May the day find you well,
Mike

Don’t know about lumberyards. but my father was born in your area. Ribstone. Which i understand is about a memory now.

There are several good suppliers of hardwoods in Calgary. Reimer Hardwoods sells both retail and wholesale. They have a large warehouse with mostly domestics and mostly rough-sawn. Black Forest Hardwoods carries a huge variety of both domestics and exotics. They also carry veneers, turning blanks and thins. Bacon Veneer is another source that sells both retail and wholesale. Welcome to Calgary!
