I salvaged some crispy logs out of the San Diego wildfire last year, cut them 8/4, kilned them and now have lots of nice tight grain slabs and boards. We counted the rings in the bigger logs and they were around 800 years old. Deep red-orange color, 3.70 $ bf , some slabs have very unique natural edge. -- rob |
