I’m not into major Teak projects, but I’d like a good number for pen blanks…
You have any cutoffs or big box of blanks you could ship to Texas…?
Let me know…
Thanks
Ed
P.S. after looking further, I see you have a number of other woods listed…
Do you have a working web site or pictures…
I’m in the market for some unique wood or burl…

Hello Ed,
Yes, we have plenty of teak, you just need to spec how you want it chopped and how much. We also have some olive wood burl chunks that are pretty tasty. In addition we have some olive wood trim pieces, various colours of eucalyaptus, deodora cedar, blue oak, madrone and sycamore, arizona cyprus, live oak, red shank, just to mention a few of the things that might make interesting pen stock.
Sometime soon we are supposed to be getting some lumps and stumps out of Indonesia (legally) which will prove interesting. I haven’t sold to a pen blank person so help me out here with specifications of what you are looking for.
We have a web site, pretty new, which we update once a month. www.tulepeaktimber.com where you can see some photos of what we do.
Would love to help you out. Let me know if I can.
Rob

Nice looking website you’ve got there…. glad to see where your inventory is coming from.

How much would you want for a small box (like one of the flat rate boxes from the Post Office) full of Olive wood trimmings, and some burl pieces. – big enough to make some pens (3/4×5), bottle stoppers (2×2) and maybe some small boxes, and/or random larger turning projects out of?

They have a couple sizes. 12×12 x 5.5, or 8.5×11 x 5.5 deep. I’ve done some trading with other jocks, basically filling up one of those with local stuff in exchange for their local stuff. and they’re about $10 to mail anywhere in the US without a weight limit. (I can always provide a bus. address if that helps keep shipping costs down. Another Jock sent a bigger box full of ebony and mesquite, and was pretty reasonable to ship, but I still felt bad for the mail carrier!) Am I interested in more than Olive? well, of course, but…. send me a PM when you get a chance. Thanks!

Scott,
Looks like about 5 bd.ft, so $50 for the wood.
Hate to sound like a dummy, but what the heck is a PM???
