I have just “un-buddyed” another friend because of a quirk in the way the site operates and the way I use it …........ no reflection on him at all. I use the “recent buddies activity” column to keep in touch with projects my buddies have found interesting that I may have missed. Occasionally I have to write a note to one of them saying I am deleting them from my list because they have been interested and kind enough to comment on several / many projects in a short time, thereby short-circuiting my list as it were. Is it possible to make the list longer so that we could just scroll down to get the last several hours’ comments. Twenty items is a very short list and on these occasions it may only cover the last half hour. Anyone else have this problem? -- Paul M ..............If God wanted us to have fiberglass boats he would have given us fiberglass trees. http://prmdesigns.com/ |

I use e-mail notifications (and a dedicated auto-filled folder in Mail) to avoid any problem like that one. -- Thomas - There is no such thing as a problem, there only are solutions. |

Not sure…but whenever I have wanted to get a change or make a suggestion I always include Debbie/Martin on the post (by PMing them a link) so they can see the discussion… Good luck with this… -- Matt--Proud LJ since 2007 |

LOL! Sad but true. Could be me, and some prolific responders? I get notices all the time for some of my buddies, and none for others? Often have to unwatch because there are some of my buddies that are magnificent craftsmen. And my email box has to be deleted often. Thanks for the thread as it brings it out to talk about. -- Cau Haus Designs, Thomas J. Tieffenbacher |

Are you saying you are getting a notice every time one of your buddies makes a comment? -- "some old things are lovely, warm still with life ... of the forgotten men who made them." - D.H. Lawrence Wake Up America!! Please read; http://www.commondreams.org/view/2009/01/26-0 |

I have always gotten email notification of new posting by buddies. Not sure how I set it up. too long ago. Maybe that is just the way it was back then ;-)) -- "some old things are lovely, warm still with life ... of the forgotten men who made them." - D.H. Lawrence Wake Up America!! I get email when my buddies post new projects or blogs too but the list is a good place to check and see what your buddies have commented on recently. Often they will have commented on something that I missed and ,as many of my buddies share my areas of interest, I would be interested in as well….... but I missed it. It’s just another way of keeping abreast of all the good stuff happening here. -- Paul M ..............If God wanted us to have fiberglass boats he would have given us fiberglass trees. http://prmdesigns.com/ |

I saw that feature/page one time but didn’t follow it very long. I find it very intriguing that many of my buddy’s posts are close to my own. Furthermore, try going to one of your buddy’s Favorites. It becomes downright creepy how close their and my interests are. Yes, I agree, it would be nice to have a much longer list. Maybe many pages, or for the last 30 days. It also baffles me why they don’t allow me to look back past 30 days on Watched items. Oh well. -- Backer boards, stop blocks, build oversized, and never buy a hand plane-- |

It would be nice to follow comments in specific sections instead of the whole site. For example, notifications or a list view of buddy activity with checkboxes for different sections – i.e. individual forums (not forum topics in general), projects, blogs, reviews, etc. |
